The idea was initiated by Stuart Orr, the Managing Director of GTI Foods last year when he realised a gap in the market where no-one has taken Indian flavours and put them in foods that can appeal to a greater audience. He wanted to appeal to people of all upbringings that want to eat really flavoursome foods. People that might think they don’t like traditional Indian food will really appreciate them in meals such as burgers.

Stuart has a passion for cooking since an early age and has been creating different fusion dishes. He loves different cuisines and likes the fusion of food. Whenever he visited an Indian restaurant, he used to think creatively,

“There is a kind of funk missing” which he says is necessary. The idea was just to revamp the whole theme, sogti1 he opened GTI in July last year.

It’s not all Indian, it’s not all Western, It is just a fusion of Indian flavours in a Western wrapper. He has given another form to the Indian food and he says,

“Aussies mostly grow up on veggies and steak. Spices and flavours are missing.”

He has provided that incredible flavour that caters to the taste of not only Indians but Aussies and other
communities as well. GTI is actually the multicultural hub with colours from Bollywood and from across the world.

“The best of this, with the best of that”.

Get that India is a fun and friendly place with great food, music that has been built on a real for Indian flavours passion that the whole world can enjoy. A 50” Plasma has been added that will show the cricket and other sporting events. With a great outside court yard and being fully licensed, this is a real melting pot of the cultures.

Don’t miss the grand opening on 23rd January, Friday
