Sometimes there is nothing better than getting away from your daily routine and enjoying the real pleasures of life.
Who says age is a barrier, who says you cannot enjoy when you are old. That’s themotto of our local senior’s go by. For them age is just a number.
Group of Senior’s from Multicultural Senior’s group went to Daylesford in June. I had a privilege to be part of the trip. Daylesford is joined at the hip by Hepburn Springs. Daylesford and Hepburn springs ae world famous for their 72 health giving mineral springs.
Bus started at 9:30 AM from Jamieson way. “It was a very cold day but everyone was excited”. On our way to the scenic view they all sang Bollywood songs and played “Antakshari” word that is long gone from our youngster’s vocabulary. Not only singing, group also knows how to keep their laughing buds alive. We all went around this beautiful city and took lots of pictures. City got lots of Old buildings which showcased Town hall building and old architecture which goes back to 1850era. After roaming around it was a time for lunch. We found a nice spot next to a lake and had home cooked food. View was amazing as birds were swimming in the water. Lake is surrounded by hills spectacular view of the scene and company of amazing people around brings smile on your face. After lunch everyone went on to visit water fall and talked to many locals on the way back and heard there stories and shared their life experiences with them.
By 3:30 PM we all came back to Melbourne.
That is what you call as a day well spent. “We look forward to doing more such trips in near future” stated one of the attendees.
